The votes have been tallied and we are very happy to announce Essa Public Library's champion, Emily Wood, was voted Community Choice Winner in this year's Simcoe Reads 2020 program!
A big thank you to everyone across Essa Township and Simcoe County who participated in this unique program by reading the selected titles and voting. Emily did a stellar job defending Essa Public Library's selected title, The Saturday Night Ghost Club by Craig Davidson. She faced off with four other library champions representing Barrie Public Library, Midland Public Library, Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library, and the Innisfil IdeaLab and Library.

Thank you again to everyone who voted in this community program. If you didn't get a chance to read all of the books, Essa Public Library has several copies of each selected title. The selected title from Barrie Public Library is An Ocean of Minutes by Thea Lim. Midland Public Library chose From The Ashes by Jesse Thistle. Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library chose Empire of Wild by Cherie Dimaline. And finally, Moon of the Crusted Snow by Waubgeshig Rice is the selection from the Innisfil IdeaLab and Library.
